MATBUS Service Cancelled Due to Poor Weather Conditions
FARGO, ND (January 11, 2013) – Due to extremely icy roads and anticipated adverse weather, MATBUS routes, including MAT Paratransit, will be cancelled beginning at 6:15 p.m. tonight, Friday, January 11. All routes will be completed by 6:45 p.m. and the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) will close at 7 p.m. MATBUS may be running behind schedule today and tomorrow due to weather conditions and passengers are encouraged to adjust their schedules accordingly.
MATBUS services are expected to resume two hours late tomorrow Saturday, January 12, beginning at 9:15 a.m. An assessment of weather and road conditions will be conducted early Saturday morning and if additional route cancellations become necessary they will be announced.
Additionally, MATBUS may use its approved snow detour routes, which are available for viewing at www.matbus.com. If necessary, MATBUS will announce that snow detour routes are being utilized, including the phase number.
